About The Position
This role supports the coaching efforts for the men's soccer team, focusing on player development, recruitment, and team preparation. The position involves assisting with practices, games, recruitment processes, equipment management, public relations, and monitoring student-athlete academic progress.
Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 1 year experience playing and/or coaching soccer at the NCAA Division I level.
- Understanding of recruitment procedures.
- Understanding of the technical fundamentals and principles of soccer.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Support coaching efforts during competitive soccer matches.
- Attend practices and workouts to assist with the training and preparation of student athletes for competition.
- Assist with the recruitment of highly skilled players and support the search and evaluation process for all prospective student athletes.
- Provide assistance in acquiring soccer equipment and ensuring departmental compliance with NCAA guidelines.
- Support the public relations initiatives of the department while maintaining positive relationships with alumni, students and parents.
- Encourage community involvement and promotes University pride.
- Assist in monitoring the academic progress of student athletes and provides counseling and advisement services to students when necessary.
