About The Position

Greensboro College invites applications for the position of Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach. This is a part-time position with opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibilities. The successful candidate will assist the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA men's lacrosse program and demonstrate a strong commitment to student-athlete development, recruiting, and the mission of collegiate athletics. Greensboro College is a private liberal arts institution located in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina, serving approximately 1,000 students. The College is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • One to three years of lacrosse coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine desire to build a long-term career in collegiate coaching and athletic.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the development of student athletes both on and off the field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of managing and operating the men's lacrosse program.
  • Develop and implement practice plans, drills, offensive and defensive schemes, and game strategies.
  • Assist with opponent scouting, film breakdown, and game preparation.
  • Coordinate and help develop youth camps and clinics.
  • Assist with gameday and event operations in collaboration with athletic department staff.
  • Support the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.
  • Manage the men's lacrosse equipment inventory and distribution.
  • Assist with team travel planning and logistics.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes.
  • Travel to high school games, showcases, and tournaments throughout the recruiting calendar.
  • Assist with maintaining recruiting databases and coordinating recruiting efforts with the Admissions Office.
  • Assist with athletic department game management responsibilities during the lacrosse offseason.
  • Support the management and growth of the men's lacrosse social media presence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Department.
