About The Position
The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will be responsible for the successful execution in planning, developing, and administering all phases of the men's basketball coaching and recruiting program. This position operates under the general supervision of the Head Men's Basketball Coach and is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of intercollegiate coaching experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to travel extensively within the region and nationally for recruitment purposes
- Ability to drive and operate a vehicle
- Must have the ability to rent a vehicle while on recruitment trips

- Knowledge of budgeting processes
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with people and present a positive image of the University
Responsibilities
- Recruit and evaluate prospective student athletes
- Assist in budget preparation and administration
- Ensure compliance with all NCAA, United Athletic Conference and institutional rules
- Scout assigned opponents
- Monitor academic progress toward degree
- Assist head coach in practice and game preparation
- Assist in daily workouts with individual players
- Perform other duties as assigned
