About The Position

Yeshiva University, an NCAA Division III institution in New York City and a member of the Skyline Conference, is seeking applicants for a part-time assistant men's and women's volleyball coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of both programs.

Requirements

  • Strong volleyball background with an ability to lead and teach technical skills by example
  • Comfort level running a practice in the absence of the head coach

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two years of college, high school, or club coaching experience preferred

  • Recruitment of prospective student-athletes
  • Student-athlete development

  • Working with athletics staff to support and uphold the philosophy, goals, and mission of both the university and the YU athletics program
  • Assist the head men's and women's volleyball coach in all aspects of both programs, including running practices and developing match strategies
  • Individual skills instruction and player development
  • A commitment to learning NCAA Division III rules and regulations
  • A dedication and commitment to building successful NCAA Division III men and women's volleyball programs
  • Demonstrated ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and alumni
  • Attend practices and matches
  • Ability to work nights, Sundays, and maintain a flexible work schedule
