About The Position

Reporting to our Medical Manager, the Assistant Medical Operations & Clinic Manager will help lead the day-to-day management, coordination, and operational performance of the onsite medical clinic. This position serves as a key operational leader for the clinic, ensuring people, processes, equipment, resources, and external partnerships are effectively coordinated to support the project workforce. This is a management and operations-focused position and does not require a traditional clinical career path. Candidates may bring leadership experience from healthcare operations, medical devices, biomedical or biomechanical engineering, business operations, occupational health, emergency services, or other technically complex environments. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and operational problem-solver who can manage multidisciplinary teams, improve processes, analyze performance, coordinate resources, and build scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated management or leadership experience, including responsibility for people, operations, programs, or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience within healthcare operations, medical devices, biomedical/biomechanical engineering, occupational health, emergency services, business operations, or another relevant operational environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing or improving processes, procedures, workflows, and operational systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with medical professionals, safety teams, project leadership, vendors, and external partners.
  • Comfortable using data and performance metrics to identify trends and drive operational improvements.
  • Ability to work onsite in a dynamic construction environment and adapt as project needs evolve.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing a clinic, healthcare operation, medical program, medical device operation, or other technically complex team.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams that include medical, technical, engineering, or safety professionals.
  • Familiarity with occupational health, emergency response, workers' compensation, or workplace safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the onsite medical clinic and ensure the clinic operates safely, efficiently, and consistently.
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for onsite medical personnel, including EMTs, paramedics, NPs/PAs, and other clinic staff.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, supplies, equipment, technology, and resources are available to support clinic operations.
  • Establish and continuously improve operational workflows, processes, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions that improve clinic efficiency and workforce support.
  • Partner with qualified medical professionals regarding clinical protocols, treatment decisions, and other matters requiring clinical licensure or medical judgment.
  • Lead, develop, and support a multidisciplinary team of medical and emergency response professionals.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, expectations, and accountability across the clinic.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration between medical, safety, operations, and project leadership.
  • Coach team members and create an environment focused on professionalism, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Support staffing plans and workforce needs as the project grows and changes.
  • Serve as the primary operational connection between the onsite medical clinic and the project's Safety organization.
  • Partner with Safety leadership to ensure medical operations support the project's overall worker health and injury-prevention strategy.
  • Support injury management processes, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Help identify trends and opportunities for preventative programs based on clinic utilization and workforce data.
  • Ensure the onsite medical team, equipment, processes, and resources are prepared to support emergency response activities.
  • Coordinate with project emergency response personnel and local EMS, fire departments, hospitals, and other emergency services.
  • Support emergency drills, preparedness exercises, and after-action reviews.
  • Identify operational gaps following drills or incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures and SOPs supporting the onsite medical program.
  • Establish scalable systems for staffing, clinic workflows, documentation, communication, equipment, and performance management.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, or improve operations.
  • Help establish best practices that can be replicated across future Kiewit projects.
  • Monitor clinic utilization, injury trends, response times, operational performance, and other key metrics.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards that provide project leadership with visibility into medical program performance.
  • Use data to identify trends, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations for project and Safety leadership.
