About The Position

Vituity is seeking an Emergency Medicine Assistant EMS Medical Director for OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. This role is within a physician-owned partnership that offers autonomy, local control, and a national system of support. The position requires clinical shifts and an estimated 15-20 administrator hours per month. While no prior experience as an EMS Medical Director is needed, a strong interest in EMS and a willingness to learn are essential. The successful candidate will be mentored by experienced EMS medical directors. The role involves communicating Vituity's mission and values, and ensuring accurate and compliant EMS medical protocols. The position oversees a combination volunteer and career fire and EMS department with an average run volume of 1600 runs per year.

Requirements

• Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency through an accredited residency program required.
• Superior clinical skills in order to serve as role model by setting high standards.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to motivate physicians and APs, work successfully with a diversity of people and locations, maintain good working relationships.
• Ability to establish effective relationships quickly with both clients and non-clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be interested in EMS and willing to learn.
