About The Position

Be part of something new! Healthy Living is opening a new store in Clifton Park and is seeking an experienced Assistant Meat & Seafood Manager to join our team! The Assistant Meat & Seafood Manager supports the daily operations of the Meat & Seafood Department, including merchandising, product quality, inventory management, and replenishment buying. Working closely with the Department Manager, this role helps maintain a well-stocked, well-organized department while supporting food safety, regulatory standards, and an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

2+ years of retail meat/seafood experience and team supervision
Strong knowledge of meat cuts, breaking down primals, and knife skills
Understanding of health & sanitation standards
Ability to order effectively and manage inventory systems
Leadership and communication skills to build a productive, motivated team
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with local sourcing and sustainable food practices is a plus

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day operations of the Meat & Seafood department
Assist in buying, ordering, and managing inventory and backstock
Train, coach, and support department staff and meat cutters
Maintain high standards in food safety, cleanliness, and compliance
Ensure proper product merchandising, display building, and signage
Provide exceptional guest service, including special orders and education
Collaborate with vendors, farmers, and internal teams to keep products fresh, local, and well-stocked
Participate in hiring, scheduling, reviews, and ongoing staff development
