About The Position

The company is a Cleveland-area advanced-metals manufacturer producing high-performance lightweight alloys for energy, aerospace, and defense customers on four continents. Casting, extrusion, CNC machining, and heat treat all run under one roof, giving this lean, ISO-certified team the complexity of a far bigger operation. This role involves monthly and year-end close with accurate GAAP financials, manufacturing cost accounting (standard costing, WIP, inventory, and margin analysis), external audit relationship and year-round audit readiness, internal controls and SOX readiness for public-company reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for new facilities, ERP selection and implementation as the company scales, building and leading a growing accounting team, and close partnership with leadership, operations, engineering, and the new parent company's finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years with manufacturing or cost accounting exposure
  • Strong standard costing, inventory, and month-end close skills
  • External audit experience
  • ERP and advanced Excel proficiency
  • Must be a U.S. person under ITAR (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
  • Onsite five days a week in the Cleveland metro

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred (active or inactive)
  • Public accounting a plus
  • Public-company, private equity, or M&A exposure a strong plus
