About The Position

This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness. Training is provided on the job. Essential skills include accurate math calculations, making change, verbal and written communication for order processing, computer/touch screen data entry, and good hand-eye coordination. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature fluctuations (36 to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit), food odors, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot/cold surfaces. Temperaments needed are the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying items up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling trays, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching (up, down, forward). Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination, with frequent and/or forceful use of hands, forearms, and wrists for tasks like shaping dough, using tools, and assembling boxes. Tools and equipment include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels. Additionally, the role includes delivering products by car to customer doors, delivering marketing materials, and requires a valid driver's license with a safe driving record, and access to an insured vehicle. Delivery tasks involve navigating adverse terrain, including multi-story buildings, while carrying product. Physical demands for delivery include carrying pizzas, sides, and beverages, driving within a designated area, walking to and from the vehicle, and potentially climbing five or more flights of stairs. Work conditions during delivery include exposure to varying weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between wywe and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make presice movements with speed
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multy-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product
