About The Position
The Assistant Manager role is an hourly store team member position. The responsibilities include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, and taking inventory. Daily cleaning of equipment and the facility is also required. Training is provided on the job. The role requires the ability to comprehend and give written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co-workers, perform basic math calculations, make correct monetary change, and use a computer keyboard or touch screen. The work environment involves varying temperatures, exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking, hearing, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments needed include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include standing for most tasks, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying items up to 30 pounds, pushing trays on dollies, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, and continuous reaching. Hand tasks require eye-hand coordination and may involve forceful use of forearms and wrists, manipulation of tools, and pinching for box assembly. Team members may use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel. For those in driver or store management positions, additional duties include delivering product by car and flyers, requiring a valid driver's license, access to an insured vehicle, navigational skills, and the ability to carry product while walking and climbing stairs. Driving involves navigating a designated delivery area, and walking/climbing occurs between the store, vehicle, and customer locations. Exposure to varying weather conditions is also part of the delivery role.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Must be able to make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
- Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
- Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Responsibilities
