About The Position

The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below. This role involves operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking phone orders, inventory management, and cleaning. Training is provided on the job. Essential skills include strong communication, basic math for monetary transactions, computer/touch screen operation, and good eye-hand coordination. The work environment includes varying temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot/cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, occasional sitting for paperwork, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying items, pushing/pulling trays on dollies, infrequent climbing of stairs or ladders, stooping/bending at the waist, occasional crouching/squatting, continuous reaching, and extensive hand tasks requiring eye-hand coordination, including forceful use of forearms and wrists for tasks like shaping dough. Tools and equipment used include pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbal with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Requires valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
  • Deliver product by car and then to door of customer
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers
