About The Position

The Commercial & Savings Bank (CSB) is seeking an Assistant Banking Center Manager for its Wooster Downtown Banking Center in Wooster, Ohio. This full-time, on-site position involves providing exceptional customer service, completing transactions, growing customer portfolios, and strengthening community relations. The role also includes managing the day-to-day operations, service, and sales efforts of the banking center, offering a full range of banking services. The Assistant Banking Center Manager will perform these duties personally or through staff members, ensuring operational soundness and adherence to CSB policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in retail banking is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year, business-related degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers in a professional and caring manner, adhering to CSB Customer Service & Retail Ready! Standards.
  • Maintain professional standards of dress and conduct.
  • Build rapport with customers by asking quality questions to help meet their needs.

  • Ensure banking center is operationally sound and complies with CSB policies and procedures.
  • Understand and explain features and benefits of all banking center products and services.
  • Operate banking center within established customer service standards.
  • Assist banking center personnel in resolving difficult transactions and/or sensitive customer relation problems.
  • Conduct monthly audits of CSR drawers and the banking center vault and report findings.
  • Complete customer transactions and establish new deposit accounts.
  • Assist with opening and closing the banking center.
  • Assist or conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Oversee banking center personnel, including scheduling and approving days off.
  • Assist and/or conduct composition and delivery of performance reviews.
  • Distribute disciplinary action as needed.
  • Provide mentoring, encouragement, and support to staff members.
  • Support the Banking Center Manager in achieving banking center goals.
  • Establish and execute a calling program to meet or exceed growth goals.
  • Contact customers, businesses, community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
  • Work with existing customers to expand relationships and grow business.
  • Encourage and coach staff to participate in meeting Service and Scorecard goals.
  • Provide customer referrals to bank personnel.
  • Work collaboratively with CSB business partners including Consumer and Commercial Lenders, Cash Management, and Wealth Management.
  • Project a positive image of CSB within the community through involvement in local organizations.
  • Manage all consumer, non-mortgage lending activities, including examining, evaluating, and processing consumer loan applications, approving or rejecting loans within specified limits, and conducting loan closings.
