The Assistant Manager is an hourly employee whose primary function is the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, and to act as a representative to Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. This role involves upholding and administering all theatre policies, training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees, and performing all staff positions as required. The Assistant Manager will operate all projection and audio-visual equipment, maintain a working knowledge of all systems within the facility in Booth and Projection technology, and ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable. Key responsibilities include monitoring risk management, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing daily receipts, and maintaining compliance with the dress code. The role also involves interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and potentially terminating employees, with oversight from senior management and consultation with Human Resources. Cost control, including purchasing and ordering supplies, inventory, and auditing, is also a significant part of the role. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will supervise theatre maintenance, market and promote feature film engagements, and schedule movie show times. Training materials on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination must be understood. Additional duties may be assigned by the General Manager or other senior managers.
