About The Position

R.J. Corman Railroad Company is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its team in Hondo, Texas. The Assistant Manager performs the duties of the switching crews they supervise and fills in for the Operations Manager in his absence. The role applies safety rules and procedures and involves physically strenuous outdoor work in varying weather and field conditions, with possible work in confined spaces. The position requires availability 24/7/365.

Requirements

Good communication skills.
Prior supervisory experience.
Familiarity with and ability to apply safety rules and procedures.
Able to perform physically strenuous work, including standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying objects up to 80 pounds, and pushing or pulling with up to 150 pounds of force to throw a switch.
Able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push or pull.
Available 24/7/365.
