RainCity Housing has been developing emerging and promising practices for over 40 years in social services and healthcare, providing Housing First, harm reduction and supports for community members who access our services. The Assistant Manager helps the Program Managers to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the program policies, procedures, and practices. The Assistant Manager directs the daily operations of the program, and performs hiring, dismissal, discipline, and performance evaluation of the staff team. The successful candidate ensures that program mandate, principles, policies, and procedures are followed. The Assistant Manager promotes the interests of the participants and the program in the community and ensures that the program is maximally integrated and coordinated with other systems of care. The Assistant Manager replaces the Program Manager for absences such as vacation, illness, and leaves. The Assistant Manager is part of the leadership team and works closely with other managers, the RainCity operations team, and administrative staff.
