About The Position
Ideal Market is a locally-owned convenience store chain rooted in small-town values and big-time service. We’re more than a gas station — we’re part of the communities we serve. From fresh deli options to friendly faces behind the counter, we work hard to deliver a fast, friendly, and clean experience for every customer. We're looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of one of our Henderson, KY locations. In this leadership role, you’ll assist the Store Manager in running a smooth, customer-focused store while helping to train, lead, and inspire a great team.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail, convenience, or food service (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Customer-first mindset with a passion for teamwork
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Dependable and organized with attention to detail
- Must be 20 or older
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in all aspects of operations including inventory, scheduling, and team development
- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a welcoming store environment
- Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, safety standards, and merchandising displays
- Help manage cash handling procedures and daily financial tasks
- Step into a leadership role when the Store Manager is off-duty
- Coach team members to meet sales and service goals
