Our purpose is to "feed the power of possible, one pizza at a time" while focusing on growth and community. As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes all cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example and follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from your crew. Responsibilities include staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining perfect image and adherence to standards, providing great customer service, ensuring attendance & punctuality, managing transportation to/from work, maintaining store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Talking and hearing on telephone.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data; make judgments and decisions.
  • Standing for most tasks.
  • Walking is generally in short distances for short durations.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Carrying large cans (3 lbs 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs).
  • Pushing to move trays on dollies (up to 7.5 lbs force).
  • Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
  • Stooping/bending at the waist.
  • Crouching/squatting occasionally.
  • Reaching continuously (up, down, and forward).
  • Use of one or both hands is continuous.
  • Frequent and forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough.
  • Manipulate a pizza peel.
  • Use of a rolling cutter.
  • Frequent and/or forceful pinching for assembling cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
  • Utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel.
  • During delivery: carry pizzas, sides and beverages while performing "walking" and "climbing" duties.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
  • Navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.
