About The Position

The Assistant Manager is responsible for everything that happens during their shift, including all cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. They must set the example and follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time, expecting the same from their crew. This role also involves staffing, paperwork, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image and adherence to standards, providing great customer service, ensuring attendance & punctuality, managing transportation to/from work, maintaining store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Standing for most tasks.
  • Walking in short distances for short durations.
  • Lifting cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Carrying large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces, and pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds.
  • Pushing trays on dollies.
  • Infrequently navigating stairs or climbing a ladder.
  • Forward bending at the waist.
  • Occasional crouching/squatting.
  • Continuous reaching up, down, and forward.
  • Eye-hand coordination is essential.
  • Frequent and/or forceful use of forearms and wrists.
  • Ability to manipulate a pizza peel and rolling cutter.
  • Frequent and/or force of pinching for assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Ability to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
  • Utilize pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of shift operations, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
  • Set a positive example for the team and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Manage staffing, paperwork, and food management.
  • Ensure store cleanliness and contribute to marketing efforts to drive profitability.
  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Carry pizzas, sides, and beverages during delivery.
  • Travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
  • Navigate stairs during delivery of product.
