The Assistant Manager is an hourly employee whose primary function is the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, and to act as a representative to Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies. This role involves upholding and administering all theatre policies, training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees, and performing all staff positions as required. The Assistant Manager will operate all projection and audio-visual equipment, including hardware and software, and handle film operations and maintenance. A working knowledge of all systems within the facility, including booth and projection technology, TMS operation, and related projection skills is essential. The role also includes monitoring risk management, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing financial transactions, and supervising theatre maintenance. Marketing and promotions of feature film engagements, scheduling of movie show times, and ensuring timely delivery of show times are also key responsibilities. The Assistant Manager must also be knowledgeable about and comply with the company's dress code, complete management certification programs, and understand the ROM. They will be involved in interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending, and, with oversight and consultation, terminating employees. Proper administration of HR paperwork and upholding company policies are crucial. Cost control, including purchasing and ordering supplies, inventory, and auditing, is also a significant part of the role. Additional duties may be assigned by the General Manager or other senior managers.
