To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales. This role involves driving profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. The Assistant Manager will analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. They will also create operational plans, prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates, ensuring optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and adherence to store standards. The role includes executing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance standards, and overseeing safety and operational reviews. As an ambassador for the store, the Assistant Manager will serve customers, seek feedback, and resolve issues to create a positive shopping experience. They will also support store initiatives to serve the community, lead associates through communication and development, and hold associates accountable through performance feedback. Compliance with all company standards and procedures when handling merchandise, including alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items, is essential, along with maintaining appropriate cash controls.
