To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales. This role involves driving profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. The Assistant Manager will analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. They will also create operational plans, prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates, ensuring optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and adherence to store standards. The role includes executing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance standards, and overseeing safety and operational reviews. The Assistant Manager will serve as a customer ambassador, ensuring customer needs and complaints are resolved, and modeling excellent customer service. They will support community initiatives and company-sponsored programs, emphasizing the store's role in the community. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will lead Associates by conducting store meetings, communicating operational direction, driving engagement, recognizing accomplishments, and providing opportunities for professional growth and development. They will hold Associates accountable through performance feedback and corrective action, and build relationships with supporting functions within the store and district. Compliance with all Company standards and procedures when handling merchandise, including alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items, is required, along with appropriate cash controls, handling as much as two hundred and fifty thousand dollars per day.
