About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks essential to store operations, including customer service, order processing, food preparation, equipment operation, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness. Team members are provided with on-the-job training. Key skills include strong communication, basic math abilities, and the capacity to handle transactions accurately. The role also requires navigating various environments, including adverse weather and multi-story buildings, while carrying product. Team members will be exposed to a range of temperatures, potential fumes, dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Essential sensing abilities include talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate temperatures. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

  • Carrying large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough.
  • Pushing to move trays on dollies.
  • Climbing stairs or a ladder infrequently.
  • Forward bending at the waist.
  • Crouching/Squatting occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Reaching continuously; up, down and forward.
  • Eye-hand coordination is essential.
  • Use of hands is continuous during the day.
  • Frequent and/or forceful pinching is required in the assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Must be able to grasp cans, the phone, the pizza cutter and pizza peel, and pizza boxes.
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers.
  • Maintain all cost controls, inventory control, cash control and Customer relations.
