About The Position

This role involves a variety of tasks including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, taking customer orders via phone, inventory management, and cleaning. The position also requires product delivery using a car and distributing promotional materials. Training is provided on the job, and the role requires strong communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers, as well as the ability to train and lead others. Essential functions include accurate mathematical calculations, handling money, effective verbal and written communication, good hand-eye coordination for order entry, computer/touch screen use, cost control maintenance, and navigational skills for deliveries. The work environment includes varying temperatures, potential exposure to fumes and dust, and working in confined spaces. Sensory requirements include talking and hearing on the phone, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating hot/cold surfaces. Temperaments required include the ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make decisions. Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying, driving, pushing, climbing stairs, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and continuous use of hands for various tasks.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Have open availability.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Ability to maintain cost controls.
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver product by car and then to door of customer.
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers.
  • Train and lead others.
