About The Position

This role involves managing store operations, preparing products, taking orders, and delivering pizzas. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring all equipment is operated correctly, ingredients are stocked, and the facility is kept clean. The position requires strong communication and essential skills, including accurate mathematical calculations, cash handling, and computer/touch screen operation. Team members must be able to navigate various terrains and work conditions, including varying temperatures and potential exposure to dust and fumes. The role demands physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Possess navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
  • Must be able to navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Far vision and night vision for driving.
  • Standing for most tasks.
  • Walking for short distances for short durations.
  • Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 pounds).
  • Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs each).
  • Pushing to move trays on dollies (up to 7.5 lbs force).
  • Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
  • Forward bending at the waist.
  • Crouching/Squatting performed occasionally.
  • Reaching continuously; up, down and forward.
  • Eye-hand coordination is essential.
  • Use of hands is continuous during the day.
  • Frequent and/or forceful use of forearms and wrists for shaping pizza dough.
  • Manipulate a pizza peel.
  • Frequent and/or forceful pinching for assembly of cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Able to grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, and pizza boxes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
  • Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area.
  • Deliver flyers and door hangers.
