About The Position

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is seeking a passionate, experienced Assistant Manager for its Utah locations. The role supports the goal of progressing to General Manager and is responsible for leading team members and managing the location’s day-to-day operations. The Assistant Manager helps ensure customers receive a quality, hot, fresh, and consistent product, while maintaining health and safety procedures in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Candidates must be willing to train to become a General Manager when a position becomes available.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of management experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Trustworthy, results-driven, and team-oriented.
• Passion for product quality and providing a positive customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Tactful, courteous, and respectful when interacting with others.
• Consistently gives sincere and total effort and demonstrates initiative.
• Comfortable using technology and restaurant equipment.
• Safety-conscious and willing to stop unsafe acts.
• Thrives on helping others succeed and teams excel; aligns actions to support the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage team members.
• Be accountable for the location’s day-to-day operations.
• Help ensure product quality and a positive customer service experience.
• Manage inventory.
• Handle customer complaints positively.
• Hire and train new team members.
• Maintain health and safety procedures and stop unsafe acts.
• Support team success and help the team excel.
• Be willing to train for a General Manager position when one becomes available.
