Requirements

  • Previous management/supervisory experience is required.
  • Good technical knowledge.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to reach four feet in height overhead.
  • Constant use of bending, stretching, and stairs.
  • Ability to observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Manager in providing efficient and quality service to customers, or providing it in the Manager's absence.
  • Taking primary responsibility for specific functions within the store as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Ensuring the store is opened and closed on time daily.
  • Monitoring workflow to ensure vehicles are serviced within specified time limits.
  • Providing prompt and courteous customer service, answering questions, resolving customer problems and complaints, and ensuring consistent recommendation of needed services.
  • Providing daily supervision and training to personnel, including hiring, scheduling, training, counseling, corrective action, performance evaluations, and termination.
  • Ensuring proper tools are available for the job.
  • Setting an example of superior service system performance and continuously training others.
  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork on a timely basis.
  • Providing service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, airing tires, and performing specialized services like transmission, differential, and radiator services.
  • Inputting customer and maintenance information into computers.
  • Explaining services to customers and accepting payment.
  • Maintaining proper cash controls, including following check acceptance policy, correct preparation and making of deposits, and cash drawer maintenance.
  • Overseeing and directing daily clean-up to maintain clean, presentable facilities and grounds.
  • Observing and complying with safety rules and regulations.
  • Performing related duties as assigned.
