About The Position

Mr. Magic Car Wash is seeking an Assistant General Manager for their Cortland, OH location. This is a full-time position offering competitive hourly pay plus commission. Mr. Magic emphasizes a people-centric culture, community impact, and innovation. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering a world-class customer experience, supporting the Site Manager, overseeing daily operations, mentoring the team, driving membership sales, and stepping up as the leader when the Site Manager is off-site. This role is ideal for a high-energy, efficient, and skilled team leader with a passion for service and growth.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of team leader and/or supervisory/management experience
  • 1+ years of customer-facing sales or sales management experience
  • Valid State Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Open Availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Physically able to stand, bend, walk, and lift at least 20lbs throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing daily operations, including staff scheduling, customer service, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and financial performance.
  • Supervise and coach a team of car wash attendants to ensure exceptional service, professionalism, and adherence to operational policies.
  • Step in as the shift leader or acting manager when needed.
  • Actively promote Mr. Magic’s membership programs, coach team members on effective sales techniques, and contribute to the achievement of sales goals.
  • Participate in training and onboarding new team members; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Handle customer concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring every customer leaves with a clean, shiny car and a great experience.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment; ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; manage supplies and chemicals; and keep the site clean and well organized.
  • Partner with the Site Manager and District Manager on site planning, promotional activities, and operational improvements.
  • Analyze sales dashboards and operational metrics to inform decisions.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisors.
