About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Vacation Sales Travel Team supports the day-to-day leadership, performance management, and operational execution of a traveling field sales team that engages guests at outdoor venues, attractions, and special events. This role partners closely with the Manager, Marketing (On-Site) to drive sales performance, ensure compliance, coach team members, and maintain a high level of brand representation while actively participating in frontline sales activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must always maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to effectively coach, counsel and motivate direct reports
  • Provide exceptional customer service (i.e. must be able to communicate in a positive and effective manner when dealing with upset owners)
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task
  • Ability to negotiate effectively
  • Ability to TO/Close for VSAs
  • Ability to recruit, train and develop employees
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on all company systems such as Mainframe, Journey, Workday
  • Two (2) years marketing/sales experience required, primarily in vacation ownership industry

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager in overseeing daily field sales operations across assigned venues and events
  • Serve as a professional brand ambassador and sales leader for Travel and Leisure Vacations
  • Actively engage in face-to-face package sales, guest interaction, and vacation package promotion
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching, guidance, and feedback to Vacation Sales Agents
  • Assist with onboarding, training reinforcement, and performance development of new and existing agents
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor individual and team performance against established production goals
  • Assist with workforce scheduling, break coverage, and event staffing logistics
  • Support setup, teardown, and overall presentation of sales booths and displays
  • Escalate guest concerns, operational issues, and compliance risks as needed
  • Responsible for travel arrangements for self and team members
  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve or exceed minimum performance goals (55%)
  • Participate in sales activities alongside agents during peak periods and special events (30%)
  • Assist with daily reporting, performance tracking, and administrative tasks (10%)
  • Attend required meetings, training, and performance reviews; maintain current knowledge of products, promotions, and marketing initiatives (5%)
