About The Position

This role involves designing and developing mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems, preparing technical documentation, performing design calculations and basic CAE/FEA analysis, and coordinating with manufacturing teams. The position also supports prototype development, testing, and validation, and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Key responsibilities include managing design changes, assisting in cost optimization and material selection, performing formability analysis of sheet metal parts, conducting simulations with CAE software, and resolving customer concerns.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / NX).
  • Experience in preparing 2D drawings, GD T, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to perform design calculations and basic CAE/FEA analysis.
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA and production feasibility.
  • Experience in prototype development, testing, and validation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, quality norms, and safety regulations.
  • Experience in handling design changes and documentation control.
  • Skills in cost optimization and material selection.
  • Experience with Formability Analysis of Sheet Metal Parts.
  • Experience with CAE Software for simulation (AutoForm / Pam Stamp).
  • Ability to suggest countermeasures for defects.
  • Customer interaction and concern resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA / NX).
  • Prepare 2D drawings, GD T, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Perform design calculations and basic CAE/FEA analysis where required.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams for DFM/DFA and production feasibility.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, industrial design, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality norms, and safety regulations.
  • Handle design changes, engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and documentation control.
  • Assist in cost optimization and material selection.
  • Formability Analysis of Sheet Metal Parts.
  • Simulation with CAE Software (AutoForm / Pam Stamp).
  • Suggesting Counter measures for the Defects.
  • Interaction with customer and Concern Resolution.
