About The Position

Join our team as an Assistant Manager of Security and Emergency Services, where resident safety extends far beyond traditional security operations. In this role, you will oversee Erickson Senior Living's Security and Emergency Services programs and help lead a team that serves as the first responder to medical emergencies across our community. Because the majority of incidents involve resident medical needs rather than security concerns, candidates with EMT, EMS, paramedic, fire service, or other emergency response experience are strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an SES Management role
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Responder role
  • Current valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • EMT, EMS, paramedic, fire service, or other emergency response experience are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the SES Manager in the areas of program/procedural compliance, quality assurance/quality improvement, investigations, training, administrative support, and serve as the primary backup to the Security ES Manager in their absence
  • Responsible for the security of the community through the use of gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs
  • Oversee safety programs to include Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed
  • Partner with their manager to establish and maintain an operating budget
  • Oversee the proper documentation of incidents through the use of the Incident Reporting System
  • Manage the Emergency Call System and Notification Alert System
  • Provide leadership and a positive example to the team, ensuring that all employees of the department are held accountable for working within the Erickson Way
