About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Retail & Production partners with the General Manager to support shop operations, create a positive customer experience, foster teamwork, develop team members, and meet shop goals. The role helps build and coach a customer-focused team and supports recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and dispute resolution. It also assists with shop accounting and inventory, ensures equipment and resources are operational, maintains sanitation and cleanliness, and promotes an inclusive culture where customers and employees feel welcomed. The long-term development objective is to build skills toward becoming a General Manager at Krispy Kreme.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of experience in a food service or retail industry job.
At least two years of management experience.
Commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where employees are empowered to showcase their originality.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Travel requirement of 0–10%.

Responsibilities

Manage and build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
Assist the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and dispute resolution for team members.
Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
Assist with in-shop accounting, including cash handling, corporate financial and operational reporting, counting and depositing revenue, and inventory control.
Ensure equipment and resources are operational for team members, including production equipment, POS systems, retail equipment, drive-thru, and processing equipment.
Maintain shop sanitation and cleanliness.
Provide exceptional customer service and nurture a culture where people’s identities are welcomed and valued.
Support shop operations and work with the General Manager to meet and exceed shop goals.
Develop skills toward the long-term objective of becoming a General Manager.
