About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring daily production targets are met, resolving quality issues to prevent line stoppages, and coordinating with support departments such as stores, maintenance, and Quality. The Assistant Manager will also oversee new model implementation, documentation (SOP, Manifest, OJT), and manage the Daily Work Management (DWM) for their shift, focusing on PQCDSM parameters. Key responsibilities include addressing stockyard, gate audit, and line stoppage issues, ensuring compliance with standards like TS, OHSAS, TPM, and AFSM, and reducing consumable usage. The role also involves line balancing, actively participating in innovation initiatives, and training team members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily production as per the plan.
  • Ensure zero hold-up at the end of the line with timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Fast and effective communication with support departments (stores, maintenance, Quality, etc.) for issue resolution.
  • Monitoring and closure of all IR related issues on the line with coordination with concerned agencies.
  • New model, PPAP, and ER implementation on the tractor line with proper documentation (SOP Manifest and OJT).
  • Ensure DWM of the respective shift including all PQCDSM parameters and timely action on issues.
  • Achieve targets of Akraman (cost saving, OIT, CIT, QC story).
  • Timely resolution of issues related to Stockyard, Gate Audit, DPR, Card RPH, and line stoppage.
  • Understanding of requirements related to TS, OHSAS, TPM, and AFSM to face audits.
  • Monitoring and reduction in consumables and stores items used on the line.
  • Timely closure of line balancing issues with IEE.
  • Active participation in innovation drive and ensuring maximum innovation projects from the department in A+, A, and B category.
  • Training and development of cell members in line with the requirement of the organization.
