About The Position

The Assistant Manager Procurement SCM will be responsible for material procurement and planning for casting and forging parts for vehicles and aggregates, including Engine, Transmission, Axle, and Foundry. This role involves utilizing IT tools like DBM, LTP, and MRP for supplier capacity planning, managing inventory, and driving cost savings in packaging, material, and logistics. The position also requires maintaining safety on the shop floor and adhering to TPM Pillars and ESG Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Material Procurement and Planning for Casting and Forging parts required in Vehicle and Aggregates viz. Engine, TM, Axle , Foundry.
  • Use of IT tools -DBM /LTP/MRP.
  • Supplier Capacity Planning wrt material requirement and timely escalations in case of gaps.
  • Inventory Management.
  • Change management - EN process.
  • Cost Savings - Packaging / Material / Logistics.
  • Coordination of Packaging Cost / Logistics Savings for the Department.
  • Maintain the Safety at Shop floor.
  • Follow TPM Pillars & ESG Practices related to packaging or returnable goods.
