About The Position

This role focuses on planning and optimizing operations within a ports and terminals environment, specifically at Mundra. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for yard strategy, import planning, equipment utilization, and ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Key aspects include managing yard resources, monitoring queues, reducing equipment idling, and contributing to continuous improvement and the achievement of business objectives.

Requirements

Experience in planning within a ports and terminals environment.
Knowledge of yard strategy and equipment deployment.
Proficiency in import planning.
Ability to prepare TDR.
Skills in monitoring road queues and resolving yard bottlenecks.
Experience in monitoring and reducing equipment idling.
Understanding of legal, statutory, and operational requirements.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Ability to contribute to meeting business and operational targets.
Experience in monitoring and developing operational reports.
Knowledge of safe and correct working practices.
Ability to ensure berthing and un-berthing timelines are met.

Responsibilities

Ensuring Yard Strategy is followed while deploying optimum usage of Yard Equipment.
Proper and timely import planning.
Timely preparation of TDR (Terminal Delivery Request).
Constant monitoring of road queue and resolving of yard bottlenecks.
Monitoring and reducing idling of operational equipment planning in the yard.
Contribution in fulfillment and compliance of MICT Legal / statutory and operational requirements.
Contributing to continuous improvement.
Contributing for the meeting of Business/Operational targets and objectives.
Monitoring and development of operational reports.
Ensuring safe and correct working practices.
Ensuring Berthing and Un-berthing Timelines set up are achieved.
Support in innovation and Process improvement.
