About The Position

This Executive role in Mechanical Engineering for Ports & Terminals in Mundra is responsible for ensuring adherence to company safety norms and contributing to their improvement. Key duties include the implementation of reliability-based maintenance and 5S principles, carrying out various mechanical engineering jobs as assigned by the Shift In-charge (SIC), and ensuring PM compliance and timely closing as per company KPIs. The role also involves reporting on completed jobs, suggesting modifications to reduce maintenance time, and leading a peer group. Furthermore, the Executive is expected to assist the SIC and adhere to the company's Founders Principles, LEAN methodologies, and DPW's information security, security compliance, confidentiality, and global/MICT safety requirements and policies. When acting as SIC, the individual will be responsible for maintaining log books, managing breakdown entries, issuing Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), conducting Tool Box Talks (TBT), providing supervision, and handling shift reporting, as well as issuing and allocating jobs and monitoring all engineering activities. Service request closing in Maximo is also a key task.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of company safety norms and standards.
  • Ability to implement reliability-based maintenance and 5S principles.
  • Mechanical engineering skills and competence to carry out assigned jobs.
  • Knowledge of PM procedures and KPI reporting.
  • Ability to report on completed jobs.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to suggest maintenance time reduction modifications.
  • Leadership skills for peer group management.
  • Ability to assist the Shift In-charge (SIC).
  • Adherence to company principles (Founders Principles) and LEAN methodologies.
  • Knowledge and adherence to DPW's Information security, Security Compliance, Confidentiality of information, Global and MICT safety requirements and policies.
  • Ability to perform supervisory tasks, including maintaining log books, managing breakdown entries, issuing PTW and LOTO, conducting TBT, and handling shift reporting (when acting as SIC).
  • Skills in job allocation, monitoring, and general engineering activity management (when acting as SIC).
  • Proficiency in using Maximo for service request closing.

Responsibilities
