About The Position

The Assistant Manager Patient Care supports the Patient Care Manager in implementing and monitoring the patient care delivery system and related nursing practice standards, in collaboration with the nursing leadership team. The role is responsible for patient care quality and provides leadership and coordination for the unit, including day-to-day management and evaluation of nursing staff. The position is accountable for quality, financials, employee engagement, and patient experience in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

This role is based in the Operating Room at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. It requires a New York State RN license and the listed RN and BLS credentials. The stated salary range is $52.03–$96.62 per hour.

Requirements

• BSN or an advanced degree in nursing, or completion of either within two years.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience.
• One year of leadership experience or demonstrated leadership skills.
• New York State RN license.
• RN and BLS credentials.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing certification in leadership or a related specialty.
• Membership in a healthcare or nursing professional organization.
