About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager of Radiology for an exciting opportunity in Chico, CA. This role involves assisting with the daily operational oversight of the Radiology Department, supporting staffing management, and promoting employee engagement. The position requires ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining image quality, and collaborating with various healthcare professionals to coordinate imaging services. The Assistant Manager will also serve as a liaison between patients, families, and physicians, investigate operational issues, and maintain clinical competencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diagnostic Technologist in an acute-care setting
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license OR current ARRT certification required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, Title 17 and Title 22 regulations, and ACR compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, quality assurance, anatomy, physiology, patient care, and radiographic exposure principles
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and operational management abilities
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Specialty certification such as CRT, NMTCB, MRI, or other advanced imaging certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operational oversight of the Radiology Department
  • Support staffing management to meet departmental productivity and budget goals
  • Supervise Lead Technologists, Senior Technologists, and technical staff
  • Promote employee engagement, staff development, and performance accountability
  • Assist in implementing department performance improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and quality assurance measures
  • Monitor and maintain image quality control standards
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, clerical teams, and service engineers to coordinate imaging services
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, physicians, and care teams to resolve concerns
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Maintain current clinical competencies and perform diagnostic imaging procedures as needed
  • Complete annual staff evaluations in a timely manner
  • Support patient-centered care initiatives and departmental organizational goals
