About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an exciting opportunity in Waimea, HI. This is a permanent, full-time position with a day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements. The role involves preparing patients for procedures, performing high-quality scans, administering radiopharmaceuticals, maintaining equipment, ensuring department safety, and maintaining accurate records. The technologist will collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff, and may participate in teaching activities. Patient care will be provided for all age groups and developmental levels, adhering strictly to radiation safety and infection prevention protocols.

Requirements

  • Current Hawai‘i Nuclear Medicine Technologist license required
  • Current BLS/HCP certification required
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine physics and radiopharmaceutical administration
  • Understanding of radiation safety procedures and imaging protocols
  • Experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a single-tech environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for Nuclear Medicine procedures and diagnostic studies
  • Perform high-quality Nuclear Medicine scans in accordance with established standards and protocols
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the imaging department
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff
  • Participate in teaching and instructional activities when applicable
  • Provide patient care appropriate to all age groups and developmental levels
  • Follow radiation safety and infection prevention protocols at all times
