Supervises and coordinates the activities of employees. Ensures that customer’s needs are met. Responsible for perpetuating the "helpful smile in every aisle" culture by demonstrating honesty, integrity, friendliness, and caring for customers and employees. This role involves overseeing training, handling employee issues, coordinating disciplinary procedures, and ensuring store standards for customer service, employee relations, and departmental profitability are met. The Assistant Manager also oversees building/ground maintenance, sanitation, and cleanliness, and is responsible for using and understanding all hardware and software technology in the store. They assist in forecasting labor schedules, evaluating employee performance, and enforcing safety procedures to provide a safe and healthy work environment. This role directs the ordering of merchandise, coordinates employee compliance with policies and laws, and assists with replenishing shelf product and designing displays. They also confer with employees to solve problems affecting job duties and productivity, and adhere to company policies and store guidelines.
