About The Position

Sares Regis Group is seeking an experienced property management professional to work at our beautiful 315-unit community, Elysian at Skye Canyon in Las Vegas, NV. This is a great career opportunity in an ideal location! The Assistant Community Manager assumes the Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in his/her absence. They will assist in the training and development of the team and assist in employee work schedules. The role involves reviewing daily rent recommendations to maximize income, collecting rent, and implementing legal action for delinquencies. Responsibilities also include processing invoices, reconciling security deposits, reviewing move-in/move-out files for accuracy, and completing weekly and monthly financial reports. The Assistant Community Manager will also assist in resolving resident conflicts and adhering to company and property policies.

Requirements

  • 2 years of related property management experience.
  • Ability to pass fair housing exam.
  • Lease-up/new construction experience required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages; ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of operations software used at the property level; Outlook, Internet software, EXCEL, and WORD.
  • Current driver's license and auto insurance.
  • Able to work weekends and overtime as job requires.

Responsibilities

  • Assume the Community Manager's supervisory responsibilities in his/her absence.
  • Assist in the training and development of the team.
  • Assist in schedules of employee work times.
  • Review daily rent recommendations and proactively identify opportunities to maximize income.
  • Collect current and delinquent rent in accordance with company and property policy.
  • Implement timely legal action, including court appearances.
  • Post invoices; use purchase orders; Code invoices with correct General Ledger (GL) coding; submit security deposit reconciliation timely.
  • Review move in and move out files for thorough and accurate completion; verify information is timely and accurately entered into the property software system.
  • Complete or verify completion of accurate and timely weekly reports.
  • Review monthly financial reports with the property manager; assist in completing variance reports.
  • Assist the Community Manager in resolving resident and prospective resident conflicts.
  • Read, follow, and implement the company and employee handbooks, property policy manuals, and any other governing documents.
