Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Track record of making independent decisions and taking ownership of outcomes
  • Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well in busy and stressful situations
  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends as necessary
  • Organization, accountability, responsibility, and punctuality
  • Proven ability to make independent judgment calls that are in line with departmental and company values and standard operating procedures
  • Professional guest service experience

  • Previous Vail Resorts leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop a high performing team through hiring, training, scheduling, performance management and development in accordance and alignment with company goals and strategies
  • Create authentic connections with others; inspire trust and manage expectations while empowering others to share in the decision making and work process
  • Develop future leaders while unlocking the potential of the supervisors, leads, and front- line scanners and lift operators
  • Assist in development and execution of departmental strategies based around key performance indicators, including: safety, scanning accuracy, guest service, employee knowledge, employee engagement, workforce management, and budget management
  • Foster a customer-focused environment and mindset to ensure delivery of an exceptional guest experience through all stages of the guest journey
  • Promote, embrace, and adhere to Vail Resorts’ Mission and Core Values
  • Technical, operational, and scanning knowledge, or resort knowledge with high learning agility
  • Works well as a member of a team of leaders, with an ability to influence major decisions through reasoned analysis, and good judgement about people and business issues
