About The Position

The Assistant Manager II is a core member of the Sunglass Hut leadership team and works in partnership with the Store/Multi Store Manager to oversee the store’s daily functions, including selling, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition, and retail excellence. The role supports sales and company objectives, develops associates, maintains customer relationships and brand standards, and ensures effective store operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience.
Expertise in every aspect of store operation.
Detail-oriented.
Uses critical thinking to execute store operational components.

Nice To Haves

Customer service and/or retail experience.
At least 1 year of previous leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Use company tools to deliver the sales plan, develop associates, and achieve company objectives.
Use reporting tools and business acumen to identify performance gaps and capitalize on successes.
Coach associates to support their growth and development and foster an inspirational, motivating work environment.
Acquire talent through networking, recruiting, and interviewing in partnership with the Store/Multi Store Manager.
Pursue self-development opportunities identified in an individual development plan.
Spend a majority of working time on the sales floor.
Develop and maintain customer relationships by maximizing company tools.
Consistently execute brand standards.
Maintain store merchandising standards and implement updates or changes.
Maintain product knowledge and use company learning tools to stay current on fashion and performance products.
Ensure execution of operational policies and procedures.
Clearly communicate brand strategy, promotions, contests, and incentives to the team.
