About The Position

The Assistant Manager I helps the Store Manager with store operations, customer service, and team development. The role supports day-to-day activities, assists customers, maintains merchandise and store presentation, carries out opening and closing procedures, and processes corporate directives. It also supports ordering, damaged merchandise processing, record keeping, loss prevention, asset protection, policy compliance, and associate supervision, training, and development. The position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, well-stocked, safe, and respectful store environment, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash. Other duties may be assigned. The job is part-time and located at 1040 Seminola Blvd, Casselberry, Florida 32707.

Requirements

Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives, such as merchandise schematics.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Store management experience in a retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
Help customers in a positive and approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery trucks to the stockroom and sales floor, and maintain seasonal areas.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Process corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other communications related to store activities.
Maintain the promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays.
Assist with merchandise ordering, damaged merchandise processing, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits, and receipts), and loss prevention.
Maintain the sales floor and stockroom to company standards, including keeping the sales floor well stocked and the stockroom organized.
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
Follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, and ensure store associates do the same.
Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
