  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of retail experience, preferably in a grocery or customer service–focused environment.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Front End Manager with scheduling, training, and developing staff to maintain adequate coverage and consistent performance.
  • Support staff accountability through fair coaching, performance evaluation, and corrective action when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Front End Manager and Senior Leadership Team to meet department goals for sales, labor, and margin while improving quality and efficiency.
  • Promote memberships, Round Up donations, and Co-op values while providing excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with state regulations on alcohol sales.
  • Oversee daily Front End operations, ensuring smooth transactions, compliance with cash handling procedures, and accurate register balances.
  • Assist with financial procedures, including balancing the safe, performing register drops and loans, and preparing nightly deposits.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Front End, foyer, cart areas, eating areas, and restrooms to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Prepare and communicate daily huddle information, assign registers and tasks, and ensure team readiness for each shift.
  • Monitor self-checkout stations, assist customers as needed, and address concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Enter accurate information (SKU, quantity, weight) into the POS system to capture correct inventory and sales data.
