About The Position

The Assistant Manager, Andros Sport will be responsible for driving new distribution and sales within sports stores in the Pacific Northwest region. This role involves building relationships with store owners, presenting the Andros Sport brand, managing product flow, and ensuring consistent reorders. Additionally, the Assistant Manager will represent the brand at sporting and community events, engage with consumers through sampling, and manage an events calendar. The position also includes planning and executing in-store demos, conducting merchandising and inventory audits, applying POS materials, and resolving operational issues. The role requires a candidate who is plugged into local fitness communities and can assist with regional independent stores, including grocery, as needed.

Requirements

Travel by car in the Pacific Northwest region – Bellingham, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland and other regions of Oregon and Washington state.
Candidate should have their own car.

Responsibilities

Call on and get new distribution into sports stores in the market.
Present Andros Sport to Store Owners, fill up paperwork, manage route to market and product flow.
Network with stores to grow distribution in the sports channel.
Regularly visit stores to get reorders while the brand builds a consumer franchise.
Represent the brand Andros Sport at sporting events (race, bike, triathlon etc) and community events.
Engage with local organizers to win space and the right to sample at events.
Negotiate competitively on fees where needed.
Engage with consumers via sampling and act as the brand ambassador.
Be appropriately attired in brand merch and decorate sampling station with brand guidance.
Build and maintain an active Events Calendar ensuring high visibility in the region and maintain top-of-mind awareness.
Generate and supply content to social media team from events – before, during, and after.
Book, plan, and manage in-store demos at retailers as per approved demo calendar.
Manage inventory appropriately during demos.
Review, assist, train, and monitor external demo agency staff and external demo teams where relevant.
Prepare demo reports.
Travel to stores, take pictures of shelf for Andros Sport.
Count and record inventory on shelf.
Build relationships with Store Managers and Department managers and facilitate reorders to ensure stocking.
Ensure any operational issues are identified and resolved whether at store level or customer level.
Communicate with Broker and Distributor Reps towards these goals.
Apply POS- point of sale advertising material as approved by retailer and brand.
Record pricing on shelf, identify and escalate pricing issues.
Plan promotions – ensure inventory buildup at stores, and pricing.
Prepare weekly summary reports on Merchandising, Inventory and Pricing.
Prepare derivative reports like tracking velocity by SKU.
Assist in regional independents including in grocery as needed.
