About The Position

Tarragon Property Services is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to support the Maintenance Supervisor in leading on-site maintenance operations at Saffron Apartments. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various building systems, performing preventative maintenance, managing supplies, conducting inspections, and providing excellent customer service to residents. The position offers a Tuesday - Saturday schedule with rotating on-call duties.

Requirements

Minimum 2 to 3 years of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade is preferred
Valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
Ability to use standard maintenance equipment
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Ability to use a personal computer and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other computer tracking systems used at the property

Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing on-site maintenance staff.
Diagnose and repair issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool systems, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural components, and appliances.
Schedule, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance and apartment turns.
Purchase maintenance supplies within the planned budget.
Conduct inspections before and after move-ins, move-outs, and apartment turns to ensure compliance with Company Standards.
Respond promptly to resident work order requests and delegate tasks effectively to maintenance staff.
Perform regular property inspections to maintain cleanliness and identify potential issues.
Obtain bids from outside contractors and ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
Prepare and submit property invoices accurately.
Assist in vendor selection and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Provide high-quality customer service to prospective and current tenants.
Participate in Company-provided training sessions (fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, harassment prevention, etc.).
Comply with Company National Standards, health and safety rules, and local, state, and federal laws.
Respond to on-call duty as scheduled.
Perform daily inspections of pool and fitness areas to ensure safety.
