About The Position

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to support operations at Creekside at Pear Ridge, a 260-unit apartment community in North Dallas. This role is ideal for a strong Maintenance Technician ready to step into a leadership position while continuing to work hands-on with the team. The position offers a compensation of $25–$27 per hour based on experience, plus monthly performance bonuses, and a schedule of Tuesday – Saturday.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• HVAC certification required
• 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
• Ability to take initiative and support team leadership
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
• Ability to live within a reasonable commute to North Dallas

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Maintenance in overseeing daily maintenance operations
• Diagnose and complete service requests, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Assist with apartment turns, including painting, repairs, and unit readiness
• Help prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion
• Maintain pool, grounds, and common areas to company standards
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• Communicate effectively with residents in both English and Spanish
