About The Position

The Assistant Maintenance Planner & Parts Coordinator is responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory levels for two Buford locations, receiving shipments, adding new material numbers in SAP, distributing parts, authorizing returns, maintaining accurate inventories and transactions in SAP, following up on orders and back-orders, ensuring part transactions are attached to valid work orders, quoting stock replenishment using preferred vendors, analyzing order points and quantities for cost control, and maintaining work areas. This role also involves creating and adapting preventative maintenance plans, assigning daily preventative maintenance tasks, maintaining the local SAP system, acting as a local key user for SAP-PM processes, monitoring spare part storage, planning and monitoring continuous improvement actions, and planning, monitoring, and executing maintenance activities with external suppliers. Interaction is required with all internal departments and external customers.

Requirements

2 years previous maintenance / production experience
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Computer skills with Excel, Word, and SAP.
Must be able to conduct system audits for inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

Order and maintain sufficient inventory levels for two Buford locations.
Receive UPS and other shipments from hand carry vendors by checking all items as being complete or as partial shipments.
Add new material numbers in SAP.
Distribute parts to automation/maintenance staff during assigned shift hours.
Authorize returns and making sure all RMA paperwork is correct before shipment to vendor.
Maintain accurate inventories and transactions in SAP.
Follow-up on all order and back-orders for current delivery dates and lead times.
Assure all part transaction for outgoing components are attached to a valid workorder.
Using preferred vendors to quote stock replenishment and maintain vendor list.
Analyze order points and quantities on an on-going basis to minimize on-hand inventory and cost control.
Clean and maintain all work areas within the central warehouse.
Creation and adaptation of preventative maintenance plans, based on machine documentation and on the lessons learned from previous maintenance activities.
Daily work assignment of preventative maintenance tasks in coordination with the local production controller.
Maintain local SAP system (close work orders, check reported times, check for correct use of the system.).
Local key user for SAP-PM processes.
Monitor spare part storage (correct bookings/safety stock/ inventory).
Plan and monitor continuous improvement actions based on SAP-PM analyses and KPI’s, in coordination with the local Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Manager.
Planning, monitoring, and execution of maintenance activities with external suppliers.
