Requirements

  • Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
  • Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and recommendations for maintenance improvements and evaluate complex project issues
  • Manage Turnback, Comprehensive Maintenance, and Municipal Snow Programs and coordinate details with municipalities
  • Work with maintenance, construction, and municipal teams to support accurate program implementation
  • Plan and supervise district line painting activities, maintain quality standards, and track program progress
  • Review posted and bonded roads, address hauling concerns, and prepare excess maintenance agreements
  • Guide roadside specialists, inspectors, and interns while monitoring performance and resolving issues
