Requirements

  • Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
  • Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Supervise engineering staff and review work involving stormwater planning and corrective actions
  • Evaluate stormwater assets and recommend repairs, replacements, or improvements based on performance data
  • Oversee hydrologic calculations, Post Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) plans, inspection findings, and corrective action proposals
  • Coordinate Municipal Separate Storm System (MS4) and stormwater management activities to maintain compliance with federal and state rules
  • Participate in condition assessments and visual screenings to ensure quality and consistency
  • Work with construction units and outside agencies to resolve stormwater-related engineering challenges
